Mission Statement

Green in Gwinnett Area’s (GIGA) mission is to help make Gwinnett County a healthier, more environmentally friendly, and socially responsible place to live by becoming a valuable resource for the residents and businesses in our community.

Vision

Imagine a community that reduces its waste, makes an effort to recycle at home, work and play, reuses products, invests in alternative energy sources at home and work, reduces emissions by walking, bicycling and driving electric cars, raises its own produce or purchases from local farmers, and encourages everyone to appreciate all the green spaces in our area.   Our organization was created because it imagines such a community.  This community can become a reality for our residents today and future generations tomorrow.

Goals

The GIGA organization is a place to share our passion with others by collecting educational information, providing a repository for eco-friendly resources and products, raising awareness through events, and highlighting businesses with our same values.
